Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing

Palomar's unique fractional ablative skin resurfacing allows control of depth and the level of heating around the microbeam columns. With a single treatment, physicians can perform a two-day downtime procedure or a deeper treatment. Ablation and coagulation: Palomar's Lux2940 Fractional Ablative Laser Handpiece delivers both options as well as a dual-pulse mode for optimized treatment results.

Mechanism of Action:

Our fractional ablative skin resurfacing uses the 2940 nm wavelength, the most efficient at removing damaged skin. Unique micro-fractional technology preserves portions of healthy tissue surrounding the treatment zone, fostering unprecedented rates of reepithelialization and lower patient downtime, with significantly less pain than traditional ablative laser procedures.

Advantages:

Fractional technology allows for one day reepithelialization and a downtime range of 2-4 days: “A Friday treatment and a Monday workday.”
